Prof. T-Yamamoto obtained her DDS, PhD at the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Osaka University, Faculty of Dentistry. She is currently a professor and chair of the Department of Orthodontics, Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry. She is interested in the molecular and cellular mechanism of orthodontic tooth movement, and basic and clinical aspects of orthodontic treatment using miniscrew anchorage. More than 300 of original papers and textbooks of Orthodontics were published. She is an editorial review board of American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, an editorial board of Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research and J Bone Mineral Metabolism, and a reviewer of Angle Orthodontists, AJODO, J Dent Res, Bone, Orthodontic Waves etc.
