Dr. Antoszewska was trained
in Wroclaw Medical University, Poland. She started her postgraduate
education at the Department of Orthodontics of Wroclaw Medical University,
then she was awarded the 6 month-scholarship in Nancy, France. During
this training process, emphasis was put on Burstone technique, orthognatic
surgery and computer programming in orthodontic education. She completed
her PhD program in 2002 and has continued in the same faculty as an
assistant professor. Dr. Antoszewska was one of the pioneers engaged
in Polish Governmental Program for Cleft Palate concerning 1200 handicapped
patients of the faculty. In 2003, after congress of European Orthodontists
Society dominated by absolute anchorage support, she started her research
upon micro and mini- implants. She has been granted as the supervisor
of the project “Orthodontic screws as implementation of modern
standards in treatment of most frequent malocclusions” She is
the author of over 50 articles in local and international journals.
She delivered over 20 presentations in national and international congresses.
Since 2007 she has given courses several times a year, in different
countries. Her main research and clinical interests are Micro- and Mini-implants,
Straight Wire Techniques and Esthetics in Orthodontics.
